Marina Colomina is a choreographer, performer and visual artist based in Barcelona. She’s both graduated in Fine Arts (Barcelona’s University, 2007) and in Dance and Choregraphy (School for New Dance Development at Amsterdamse Hogeschool van de Kunsten, 2013)
In 2014 she is recipient of DanceWeb Scholarship (Impulstanz). In 2015 together with Carles Casallachs created Abast Elàstic, a platform to expand dance towards other territories. A.U.R.A. (Ahora Usted Recibirá Algo) is the first outcome of their collaboration.
Her work deals with perception, adressing the movement of attention and the potencial of experiencing the body in a mobile way. Recently she is exploring participation of spectatorship and blurring fiction with reality in her choreographical choices. Her works has been presented in U.S.A., Holland, Germany, Poland and Spain. She’s work as a performer and co-creator with Deborah Hay, Ann Liv Young, Benoit Lachambre, Magdalena Ptasznic, Marta Ziolek, Quim Bigas amongst others.
